    Hi,

Gin isn't allowed in induction. It doesn't come in until rung 5 under wine and other spirits low in carbs.

Chick is correct. By extending your Induction, you are still following the Rules of Induction and eating off the Induction Acceptable Foods List.

Alcohol can be added in "moderation" during OWL.

Moderate drinking is defined by the American Diabetes Association as 1 drink for a woman and 2 drinks for a man.

"1 drink" is defined as 12 fluid ounces beer (preferably light beer), 4 fluid ounces glass of wine or 2 fluid ounces glass of dry sherry or 1.5 fluid ounces of a distilled beverage, such as whiskey, rye, vodka or gin.

And believe me you can wait. I thought I would be miserable at the last party I went to without alcohol but I think I actually had more fun without the alcohol. Just keep your glass filled with water.
