  • How long for extended induction?

Hi, I'm in the 16th day of induction. I've only lost two pounds, but then again I don't have a huge amount to lose. (The scale may not tell the whole story though because today I got into a pair of jeans I "outgrew" about a year ago.)

Since I haven't lost a lot, should I stay in induction until I do? Or should I just move on to OWL level 1?

It's recommended for those without much to lose to go ahead and move onto OWL so you can work through the rungs before you get to goal. Think you should be a premaintanence with 10-15lbs to lose so I'd move on.

Do you have a copy of DR ATKINS NEW DIET REVOLUTION 2002 EDITION? if so read chapters 13 and 14 so you know when it is time to miove and how to do OWL correctly. it is a personel decision when to move but Dr Atkins says those who worked all his phases were more successful staying at goal weight then those who didn't.

Your 2 pound loss is actually a great loss since your needed to lose amount is 15 pounds. it is 13% of your needed to lose pounds which would have been almost 20 pounds.

        Enjoy your OWL more veggies.

oh and what are you doing as that mandatory exercise part of your atkins?

I have a library copy of the 2002 Atkins book. I'll have to review chapters 13 and 14. Exercise: I have a gym membership. I do a line of weights 3x per week and put in 30 to 50 minutes on the exercise bike about 5 times a week. I also walk more than most people do, just going about my business. (It's a half mile from the parking lot to work, and 1 mile from my house to a business area where I often walk to shop.)
