  • Haven't been posting where do I go?

    Hi,

I introduced myself and then got too busy to post. I have been mostly faithfully following Induction for 3 weeks now. I did eat potato salad once and yesterday I ate one potato chip. Those are the only cheats in 3 weeks. I gave up caffeine, aspartame, sugar, etc. and have only eaten what is on Induction. I drink very close to the 64 oz of water and I take a vitamin every night. I am down 8 pounds in 3 weeks! My moods and energy have also leveled out. I am staying full and I can actually live my life without always thinking about food, which I cannot say on any other diet that I tried. I was always looking at the clock to see when I could eat again. I plan to continue with Induction for awhile longer.

    Where should I post now?

I moved your thread from Spotlight to Extended Induction.

I have been mostly faithfully following Induction for 3 weeks now.
With only 20 lbs to lose, you should be moving to OWL.

The last 5-10 lbs are supposed to be lost in Pre-Maintenance.

I did eat potato salad once and yesterday I ate one potato chip.
Potatoes are allowed in OWL Rung 8.

Instead of potato chips, you can make cheese chips. Those are acceptable before Rung 8.

Thanks, I needed to know where to post. Actually, I have 22 pounds still to lose and I may adjust my goal down to 120, which is still plenty of weight for a 5'1" woman. That would give me another 26 pounds to lose.

Can I still remain on Extended Induction? I don't really want to move to OWL right now. I'm happy on Induction. Since there isn't a lot of choices, I find that I would rather do other things than eat. I am staying full and have plenty of energy.

Remember owl 1 is only adding 5 carbs of induction veggies so it really isn't that different. I would go ahead and move to rung 1.

20... 22... 26... the same applies. The appropriate thing to do, with so little weight left to lose, would be to move to OWL.

          On Induction, you mean?

You can do things other than eat in OWL, too.

You don't need to increase the volume of food you eat. Instead, you will be adding more nutritious carbohydrate foods to replace some of the fat you are now eating.

Re: Haven't been posting where do I go?

In previous attempts at low carb, every time I have stuck around on Induction longer than the two weeks, I have slowed in weight loss and got tired of "eating the same things". This always led to me quitting and blaming the diet instead of myself. As you can see to the right of my avatar, I am moving on to OWL this go round. I think you would be wise to do the same.

Okay, since I have so many people saying to go to OWL, I'll go there today. I'm checking out rung 1.

              Thanks for the input.
