I've been visiting another low carb board and the latest craze is the use of coconut oil to help speed the process of weight loss while low carbing. They are suggesting eating 3 TBS per day to do this. Nearly everyone there is excited about it, but I'm wondering what you die hard Atkin dieters of think of this?

There was an old thread somewhere on here about it. I don't remember the opinions.
From personal experience, it tastes great to cook with! But be careful on what kind you buy because they are not all the same. I ended up ordering mine online to find the one that tastes and smells like coconut.Start Date: 01/18/2005

It works. Speeds weight loss, and gives you a noticable energy boost.
Coconut oil is a miracle food. I truly believe that.
Try it for yourself, and you will see results. You won't be sorry you did. A bit pricey, but in my opinion nothing is worth more than what we ingest into our bodies! It is THE most valuable and important thing.

Tried it. It didn't do anything for me in terms of weight loss. In fact, the taste of it was rathering nauseating to me....
Anyhow, I have a jar of unrefined coconut oil that I know use as a body moisturizer---now in that regard, I find it to be very good.~Megs~
