I'm not sure if i have made a big mistake... Went to a friends on saturday night, had warned her in advance that i was low carbing. She made a real carribean feast of ackee saltfish and plantain, i skipped the rice and had salad but can't find any info on the carbs in the other foods!!!

Well - as you have already eaten it there is not much you can do about it except record what you ate, but I am sure you did the best you could at the time. Well done on not eating the rice
Do you have a free 'account' at www.fitday.com? You could list the individual ingredients you ate there and get some rough idea of their carb counts.
For individual carb counts for food items you can look them up on the USDA website
and even download a copy to use when offline

Turns out the salt fish and ackee is low carb, i should have skipped the plantain though. Would definately recommend the ackee and salt fish with salad though!
