  • raw veggies?

I've been doing Induction for 2 months and decided it's time to reread the book and make sure I have everything down pat. I've lost 25 pounds so far so i know I'm doing allright...
Thing is I have 2 different Atkins books- the official Atkins book and then this white book I got that focuses on Atkins Induction which appartently was written a little later. I was rereading the induction lists and the white book says that the "2 cups of garden vegetables" should be raw! Well I've been eating cabbage and other stuff cooked the whole time. Now should I change my ways or just follow the original book. or perhaps I'm and idiot and it says this in both books and I cannot read.
    Thanks,
    Danielle

I'm not sure what that 'white book' is, but veggies can be cooked or raw! However, they should be measured raw which is important for veggies that really cook down like spinach.

It can be confusing, can't it! :hug
I recently bought a copy of the original Dr Atkins Diet Revolution from a charity shop and many things were different from the 2002 DANDR.

Why not read the FAQ on the rules of induction http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...ic.php?t=68133
and the acceptable foods list http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...ic.php?t=68132
and see which of your books is the closest to them?
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

I only have the 2002 DANDR and frankly, its the only one I trust ...

Raw veggies have their advantages though .. it takes more calories to digest them (have you ever heard of the negative calories concept? Interesting to say the least!)
