You should weigh at the same time every time and preferably first thing in the morning before you eat. Also you need to wear about the same clothing each time. Your scale will reflect all your water and food that is in your body later in the evening. I did an experiment one time. I weighed and got off my scale thn I got my 32oz water bottle and got back on it was 2 pounds more! That is why everyone goes with the tape measure more than the scale.

I agree with Pam ... weigh yourself once a day if you have to at the same time ... once a week or once a month would be better.

And use a tape measure to compare you loss from month to month.

The scale is going to reflect fluid retention caused by food choices or hormones, exercise, medication, etc.. Weight can fluctuate based on your "potty" schedule or whether you may be at the TOM. Some foods that are higher in salt can cause fluid retention. And as we burn fat and build muscle, it is important to remind yourself that muscle weighs more than fat, but it looks better!

When you are alone in your head, you are in a bad neighborhood.
