    3 weeks in...

27.5 pounds down. Slowed dramatically since the first week but still going very well. I have been very firm with my food choices, and I've managed to avoid tempting situations. Next week I spend 5 days on airplanes, in hotels, and at convention halls. This is going to be a crazy week

Hi Paul -- great news on your weight loss. It's normal for your weight loss to slow down after the first week or two so don't worry!

As far as next week, if possible pack a lunch sack to take on the plane and if it's not possible call ahead and ask for the low-carb lunch (if you are being served a meal) -- skip the peanuts and drinks except for water. When you get to the hotel find the nearest convenience store or grocery store and stock up on good foods you can eat. When you eat out check ahead on the internet for nutritional information of the restaurant and make sure you pass of sauces, and ask request they prepare your food to your specifications.

Good luck & continued success on your journey.

      Great progress, Paul

It might be worth moving to rung 1 of OWL now which would allow you to choose extra veggies to help you keep on track and not have to leave on the plate half the giant salad servings most restaurants give you. Though I often take a couple of plastic bags in my pocket to be able to take any leftovers away and have available for another meal or snack (the 'doggybag' thing is not readily available in UK).
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

When I'm really stuck, and have to eat, I order one or two hamburgers with extra lettuce and tomatoe and throw the bread away. That won't help on an airplane, but it usually works everywhere else.
