  • Moving on?

I am wondering if I should move on to OWL. I have been on induction (more or less) since November and the weight is not coming off as fast as I'd have liked. I've been stuck at around 150lbs for a while and now that I'm doing an exercise challenge it does seem to be moving slowly in the right direction but I've not had one of those whooshies I've read about so many people having. I've had a hard time getting back into the Atkins regime since Christmas when I was at my parents and not strictly sticking to the regime over that period.

My second job is as a checkout operator in my local supermarket and what I've really been wanting is fruit... my mouth has been watering at the berries! (Chocolate would be nice but I'd rather have fruit... I could really crunch into an apple or a peach and haven't had one of those since November last year!)

I still have over 30 pounds to lose and am a small female at 4'7".

Anyone have any comments, tips or suggestions?

I say move on then. A lot of people have reported that the weight loss speeds up after moving to OWL. In the induction forum there is a stickie about moving to OWL. Called Day 15 should I stay or go? Something like that anyway. Maybe reading that will help you make up your mind. Whatever you decide we will support you :hug

You should go back to the book and read chapter 13 (I think, well at least it is in the dutch version I have and I suppose it is set up exactly the same) in that chapter the good doctor states some questions you should ask yourself to determine if you should go to OWL or stay in induction.
Also this topic might help you :

      Succes !!!

[edit] hehe, cause I was searching for that url I took a bit longer in writing my reply, so spirittalker was ahead of me

yep move to OWL and read all the stickies in the OWL forum. Exercise is great so watcgh your tape measure showing those isnches of fat being burned up even as the scales don't validate your hard work.

        HAppy OWling to you.

i have more less the same problem... the first 2 weeks in the induction i lost 3 kilos... and now i weight myself after 10 days and i see i lost only half kilo. maybe... i am not sure... but maybe the fault is that about 5 days ago i actually had to eat (for sentimental reasons to a relative) a large place of chickpeas, and i think that is what caused the little loss... and is so funny because that day all night i fought my desire to run to the fridge and have something to eat !! too many carbs caused me so many carvings! but after that i did not eat any forbidden foods.
i will weight myself next week again and keep induction ... to see if that is the fault.

          wishing you all luck !

Well I re-read DANDR last night and thought about it all and have now decided to move on to OWL but am gonna take it very slowly to be sure that the weight comes off and, more importantly, STAYS OFF!

              See you all in OWL!
