Re: 225 lbs.....
Is that 225 pounds you need to lose or is 225 pounds your current weight?Originally posted by baby_usai heard that the more u weigh the more u will lose faster...does 225 lbs count in that "alot of weight catagory"????
If the former I would think you probably would lose quite a bit in your first 14 days on induction - as it is suggested 'most' people lose between 5%-10% of their hoped-for weightloss during the two weeks. So you could 'expect' to lose between 11 and 22.5 pounds.
If you now weigh 225 and want to get down to about 140 pounds then you could 'expect' to lose between 4 and 8.5 pounds in that period.
But nothing is guaranteed - one of our 'goalie' members lost nothing on induction but moved on to OWL and started losing once she added more carbs!
It is not till you have done your 14 days of a clean induction that you will know how YOUR body reacts to Atkins. :hugWondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

Staying on Induction until goal is not for most people and might not lead to best long term success. Focus on learning the new WOE, and the weight will definitely come off. I have had bad luck in setting time based goals, but I wish you the most success possible. Follow the rules, and you'll be eating and living healthy in either case at the end of 4 mos.Kent - 35-M-6'4"
