  • Weight stall

    Truly a bummer,
I start working out and haven't lost but a couple of ounces since April 24th. I know, I know, muscle weighs more than fat, blah blah. You know us losers are addicted to the scale! :sarcasm
You get spoiled on the diet. Lots of weight gone and getting the first stall is truly a bummer.
    Just thought I'd vent...

So how are your inches looking? Clothes fitting any looser? :hug
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

To be honest that is one of uses of this board. To have a good vent.

You know what they say - "a problem shared is a problem halved?" Well we all know where you are coming from as the majority of us have suffered a stall or more.

        VENT away.

We are all ears, and please remember that we are all here for you.

It never ceases to amaze me of how easy and how effective this ***diet*** is!!

I have since re-gained a bit of weight, but that is soon to be coming off again!

          inches good...

The inches are coming off, and the muscles are building. I think I might be working out a little much for my previously lazy butt. My body is sore!
I am just spoiled with the rapid weight loss...
          I'm hanging in there, though!
          Thanks for the vent!

Lauri, remember muscle tends to weigh twice as much as fat...

              hmmm..

Anyone know that since working out more, my ketostix have gotten darker? It's almost as dark as the first couple of days with Induction. Is this a coincidence or has my body gone into hyper fat-busting mode? Maybe there is just no corrolation at all...

Are you drinking extra water than you did before upping your exercise?

If not that might explain the darker readings.

As to the 'no pounds lost but inches lost' - Atkins allows you to lose more fat proportionally to other regimes, hence the sizes shrink but weight remains unchanged or even increases. Many Atkineers have posted that they now wear a smaller clothes size than they did at the same weight before Atkins :joy

Anyway - wouldnt you rather that you looked slimmer whatever that scale says? People cant see your weight but can see the thinner you :hug

                  yippee!

I weighed myself today and finally broke free! I lost 2 more pounds. I am still exercising and drinking lots of water! I think I might even notice a muscle here and there!
                  Thanks! :icondance

It always seems like when we get most frustrated there's always the whooshie. It's like the toy surprise in every box.
