  • BMR too high?

    Hey gang!
I went to carbcount.com and figured my BMR. It says that it is 2300 cal/day! I am having toruble getting 1800 cal/day! Where do I come up with another 500 cals a day? It is so strange that 5 weeks ago I was stuffing myself with junk at the tune of 4000 cal a day.

    Thanks
    Amy

it takes a lot of cals to move large folk around. If you are a yoyo dieter from the past that BMI will not be axcurate for you either as you have more fat pounds then they calculate for.

It will take quite a while for you to go into starvation mode if that is your true BMR but you can increase your cals a bit by adding moere healthy fats if you are hungry or by eatting calorically denser foods when you do eat.

Your body should be telling you it needs more cals when it does by you feeling tired or fatigued.

Keep checking with your doctor as you lose to make surte you aren't deficient in any of the needed vits and minerals due to your food choices. i needed some potasuim durimg my long induction period.

    Happy low carbing.
