I have seen a lot of new flavored waters (aquafina, fruit 2o, etc.) none of which have carbs and they are sweeted with splenda, and other acceptable sweeteners. I know they are allowed on induction, but my question is: Has anyone had a bad experience with these? And would you consider them acceptable on a clean induction? I've been cheat free for 5 days, and I don't plan on starting now. Thanks!!

You can drink them but they don't count towards your daily water requirement and each serving counts as one of your three daily artificial sweetener allotments.~Megs~

I have found that they are way too sweet for me. Even the new Dasani water w/ Lemon has a sweet taste to it and has no carbs.
I am used to drinking lots of water anyway ( I put sliced lemons in my water so I will drink more, it really helps me)
As for a "clean induction" it all depends how your body reacts to them. Some people can eat differently on induction than others. Your metabolic rate or resistance will play a factor as well.
Good luck. :hug The first two weeks of induction is the hardest part, after that your body will really like this WOE. I have really noticed a difference in my skin tone. My skin just glows lately.highest weight 250 (9 months PG with 1st child)

I almost tried one this morning... it said no sugar, no carbs, no artificial sweetners....
so why is it sweet then?

If you have a sweet tooth intolerance, it is best to advoid them during induction, in my opinion, or for as long as you can. To me the citrus flavor aquafina is pretty good, but i have a sweet tooth intolerance, so i really have to watch it. There is a drink thread under the recipe section. There is one where you spice up water with cucumber and lemon slices. I tested it today, and its not bad at all.Restarting Atkins April 9th 2010

Flavored waters are probably my greatest weakness. (routinely will have 1-1.5 32oz per day). That said, I agree with Todd if you have a sweet tooth addiction or cravings after drinking, it is best to put off having them. My personal favorite are the local grocery store-brand waters. (Hy-Vee or Fareway's Fast Chillers for those in the area, both are Splenda sweetened) These should not be considered replacement for regular water though too.Kent - 35-M-6'4"
