  • 1 month on atkins

I have 1 month completed on atkins and I am down 14 pounds. I'm not struggling either. Mostly for me , it was cutting out the sugar ( junk food ) that has helped me, because I only like meat and veggies at meal time anyway. Losing this weight is doing soooo much for my emotional well-being, and my husband is down 17 pounds. We are supporting each other and you know what, our marriage is better for all of this. Thanks for your support on these boards.

Isn't it great to do this journey with your husband? My husband & I both follow Atkins. He always has quicker results, but he's been a great support to me. It's fun to share the joy of a "new number" on the scale, as we call it.

My husband and I too have been on Atkins since the end of January. He has lost 25 lbs (mostly his beer belly), and I'm down 41lbs. He is now on OWL, and I am continuing in extended induction, until I lose another 40lbs. He is still totally supportive, eventhough, he eats more things than me. It's great being able to share this part of my life challenges with him!!!

This is the first time I have ever lost more weight than my husband. I don't think he is following it as strictly as I am. He has to go to a lot of business lunches and travels for his job. I've lost 21 pounds, he has lost 19. It is so much easier if you do it together.
