So we had a Mother's Day party and of course, everyone noticed that DH & I have lost weight. Now, over the past year, I have asked many of my relatives how to lose this weight and they just shrugged their shoulders and said eat less, exercise. So I ate less and exercised and didn't lose any weight. Then, my brother-in-law lost 60 pounds on Atkins, showed us how to do it and we have been losing ever since. So my sister comes up to me at the party and tells me she joined Weight Watchers in January and she has lost 17 pounds. I told her that I started Atkins the last week of February and I've lost 21 pounds and saved my money! Then the whole family gets into a conversation about how bad Atkins is, that I'm gonna lose weight but I'll die from "eating all that meat and no vegetables" We tried to explain it to them, but their minds were closed. Why is it when you are struggling to lose weight, nobody will help you, but when you start seriously dropping the pounds, everybody suddenly wants to tell you about their diet and why it is better than yours??????
Oh, and I also wanted to tell you guys, I did Atkins at the party, no problem. There was a cake there that I would have loved to eat, but I didn't!
