  • subway wraps??????

    HI I just had a subway wrap and it was sooo great but im not sure if I was alowed to eat the wrap, it is a tortia but not flour, the wrap totals 9 net carbs,, I lost 14lbs in 2 weeks then 3 lbs then only 1 lbs in the last week, is this normal? im 35

    also the first 2 weeks I took the pills in the atkins 14 day starter kit, Im on a tight budget and wonder if i really need the pills or if I can find a cheaper substitute for them????

      Congrats on your great start.

      okay you have several questions here. First the subway wraps are for the higher phases of Atkins not induction. Induction folk have salads or breadless subs. 9 net carbs is almost 1/2 your daily allotment. you want to have about 5 net carbs for your meals if you eat 3 meals which then gives you 5 for your snacks. you can be slightly up or dawn for a meal but you want to spread your carbs out so that at each meal you have some carbs some protein andsome fats as you are building your healthy for life eating habits now that will help you stay the healtheir smaller person you want to be when you arrive at goal.       It is very normal to see a rapid loss during the first couple of weeks on any weight loss plan as your body responds to this lowering of caloric intake by releasing its fuel reserves and the primary reserve has fluids stored with itfor rapid use when needed.
      The secondary reserves the fat moleluces don't have fluids with them so they burning gives a smaller total scale number but a larger tapemeasure number. Make friends with your tapemeasure cause it will validate your hard work you are doing working your Atkins program when the scale doesn't.

        as far as the vitamins go - you need to have your vitamins. they keep you healthy and gives you the nutrients you need that would otherwise come from foods you cant eat yet.

        You dont have to get the ones listed in the book - i know the atkins pills are expensive and you have to take like 3 a day. I personally take a 1 a day multivitamin with no iron. you get enough iron in your meats so you dont want to overdose.

          yeah, i dont buy the atkins pills

          i just take vitamins separately, a multivitamin, an extra fatty oils vitamis and i take chromium.
