  • Being Risky...

I gained another LB, which is 334 now. I was down to 330 on sat and i have NO IDEA what is going on.. i wonder if your body knows when you have lost 50lbs and does this to poke fun. I am going to get my low carb vitamins today, and i am going to go off for a day because when i did this last time, i lost 4lbs the next day. HOW DID I GAIN 4 LBS in 4 DAYS?! UGHHHHHHH lol i was going good.. lets hope this maybe shocks my body and i'll start loosing again! =) wish me luck, ill let you know tomorrow AM.

It can be frustrating, huh? I know I kind of plateued and even gained a couple after I hit about 30lbs. I did a couple weekend cheats and it did seem to get things moving again afterwards, but I certainly don't recommend it really as it breaks your routine and you need to get back into ketosis again. Figure out what works for you though, and congrats on the 50'bs!!!

a small cheat day seems to get me moving too when I get stuck... LIKE I AM NOW!!!!!! Im gonna hold out through the weekend to see if things start moving again, but if not I will have a SMALL cheatday, I dont overload on carbs, but I will eat something I wouldnt normally eat.. It usually gets me going again, but I will only do it if im despartate!

      Goodluck Goal :hug

for a carboholic what you are trying is very dangerous many folk can't comeback from those cheats and find their willpower to stick with induction gone. move to OWl if you want to shake things up many stalled out inductees find OWL starts their scale loss again.

Check chapter 15 of your DANDR before you make any assumptions about your reasons for stalling 4 weeks of no scale loss nor inches lost ans see which of those listed things applies to you.

Lots of folk find the sclaes are monsters and can show pounds gained while the tape measure shows inches of fat melting off as our body mass morphs from muscle and fluid gains while we lose body fats.

        Happy low carbing,.

What I notice them most is that these people who are advocating "carbing up" , are basically going off to enjoy candy bars, chips, regular cokes and what not....I have yet to hear someone say, "Tommorow I am going to carb up by adding a few more cups of veggies into my foods, or perhaps a little more broccoli with dinner...

          weird eh?

Hmmm....well...not really. I don't advocate it, I just think it has worked for me in a few occasions and when I did it I think the only thing I carbed up on was a little bread. Anyway, 2Big is right...probably not a good idea. Give yourself a harder look at what might be causing you to hesitate (I don't think stall is right since that would be 4 weeks or more, right 2Big?).

Have you read the sticky called 'Weightloss is not linear'?
Take a look and it may reassure you that is is quite normal for your scales to show ups and downs throughout the week.

Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

Goal, if you see how often my scale bounces, you might not be too concerned. Every Saturday morning, I bounce down about 2-4 pounds from the previous Saturday weight. It never fails that by Monday I will bounce around the original weight or more, but then by Saturday, I'll repeat the process with another new low. It's done for about all of 2005. My advice would be to stick with the system that works long term, and be patient. If you feel you must do something, try increasing or prolonging the exercise portion.

I know stalls or hesitations are frustrating, but carbing up is bit too much on risky side. Just my take...

im SO happy i did this! for several reasons. TODAY was like a great day- sure im eating carbs and usually when i cheat i enjoy it, i did because they taste good.. but for the first time EVER i got the bad effect of carbs. I WAS TIRED ALL DAY LONG and noticed it, constant yawning, i was lazier than i usually am, people asked me if i was sick because i looked pale and sick. It just goes to show you how low carbing it makes you feel. i KNOW for sure i feel so much happier and alert on program which makes me happy knowing i changed my ways! It's seriously mind boggling. Today, someone told me my pants looked very big on me.. they are but it felt great to hear that..also a girl im friends with came up to me and said "i meant to ask you the other day, did you lose weight because i noticed your face was slimmer" i was like yesssss haha wow i was so exccitedd!! I CANT WAIT TO GO BACK ON PROGRAM!! LADIES HERE I COMEE HAHAHA
