Atkins may cause Domestication in Married women, especially those with children
LOL
I am in my 6th week of Atkins, I am down 37 pounds and feel great. First lemme give you a glimpe of my life pre atkins....
I would wake up with the baby( 18 months ) at 5:00 am. Stumble down the stairs one at a time, because my joints hurt, then stumble into the kitchen to get her breakfast. Feed her breakfast, turn on kids TV, and let her play while I lay in a half comatose state on the couch. Then the 2 oldest wake up ( 6 and 3 ) and I get them cereal as well, back to the couch, where I lay half dead until 9ish. Then get the girls dressed, run errands ,pick up just enough to keep public health from having a fit
. Avoid going upstairs becasue it was really hard, I literally had to pull myself up the stairs with the banister, and when I reached to top I was exhausted! Dinner was usually take out, since I did not feel like cooking ( even though I love to cook ) and I did not want to do the dishes after. Get the kids to bed after an exhausting day of doing nothing
and then veg on the couch till I fell asleep by 9. What a life huh?
Today I jump up at 5, get breakfast for the baby, get her dressed, start breakfast for the older 2. Run the sink with water for breakfast dishes. Take out something for dinner, sweep the floor, do the dishes, toss in laundry, fold whats in the dryer. Shower dress WITH makeup, pick up laundry, run downstairs, mop the floors, the go over them on my hands and knees with conditioning oil. CLean off the fridge, clean off the porch, feed the kids lunch, get ready to run errands. And it is only 11 oclock!!
And every day for the last 5 weeks has been like this. My house has never been so clean! My DH is amazed at the level of domestication I am portraying
I have 3 young girls and own a photography studio, and I feel for the first time in my life, like I finally get it!
