  • advice or input?

    Hi! In my journal, I just entered a typical day's menu. In my induction, which actually ended 10 days ago or so and I've been doing extended induction, I only lost 2 pounds, and have MANY to go. I was hoping someone might look at my menu and offer any thoughts, if anyone has any?? Thanks! Here's the link:

    Hi Only!

    Well, at the bottomo of that post you answered your own questions. Upping the water can only be a good thing. Your breakfast looks a little light to me, but I know there are some people who have trouble with that meal. Also, I found that flax just didn't work for me. I LOVE flax muffins, but I think they were stalling me. Once I cut them, I started losing again, and I actually think they CAUSED my constipation issues, instead of relieved them. Just something to consider.

      And it looks like you are eating all your veggies in the one meal - try to spread them across the day - perhaps have some of the tomatoes at breakfast - fried or grilled are tasty - and have some with your lunch too.

      And 1/4 cup of flax is 4 Tablespoons. In induction we are supposed to limit our flax to just enough to cure constipation etc - by starting with 1 T and increasing it gradually if needed. When you are on the nuts/seeds rung of OWL you can add more as you wish.

        looks like with all the changes you are planing already you should just see what that does first after 2 weeks evaluate your situaltion and see if you need any more changes.

          If I were you I would cut the flax intake, figure out a way to get more water in your day and up the exercise to 6 times a week.
