  • ACE CCCL - Can I do it the wrong way round ?

    Hi All !!

    yesssss I reached goal :joy Actually I reached goal over a month ago but I have been away.

    I know it is no excuse and won't bore you all with the details but I was not able to screen myself properly during OWL to calculate my ACE etc

    Now I am back home I really wanted to see if I can work out by ACE etc properly because I must admit during OWL I was not able to up my carbs much at all - I added new rungs but I was never really over 25/30 net carbs ever.

    I had a hard job shaking off the last pounds but got there in the end.

    What I had planned to do - if this is considered viable - is to start the rungs again.

    This week I have been stable on about 20 net carbs (and up and down on the scales 300 grams each day). I planned on upping the carbs next week to 25 to see what happens.


    I finally managed to get 2 kilos of soya flour from the UK and also a big jar thing of Splenda so I wanted to try some lowcarb pita bread or something.

    Can I go about it this way or is there a better way.

      Congrats on making goal :joy

      If you were losing slowly at 30g carbs, you probably want to shoot for 40-50g for maintenance. You'll just need to experiment to find a good balance. Since your weight will fluctuate day to day, just watch that you don't gain over 5 lbs. Cut back if you start gaining and add if you find you're losing again.

      I don't aim for a daily goal, but more of a weekly average. Some days are closer to Induction, depending on what I feel like eating. Other days I move up the ladder. I watch what I eat closer when I start gaining a couple of pounds.

      You can either take that route or pick a place on the ladder to start and move up or down according to whether you're gaining, losing, or maintaining.

        Thanks Laura .... and congrats on your wonderful pics !! you look wonderful.

        I will try as you said - I am starting swimming now every day so I hope that will also tone a bit.

        I am just so pleased with how the diet went - I am getting everyone hooked ! .. they see me looking so well and so full of energy.

        It is difficult here in Italy .. they live on pasta and rice and pizza .. but even my b/f is doing a modified version and has lost 8 lbs! (Of course poor thing is getting it in the neck from "mamma" 'cos he's eating too much fat ecc - but he's holding out!)
