    I was in a forum, and someone asked about the Atkins diet, a lot of people had bad things to say about it, but some was positive. I though I might post what I thought. ( I only have good to say about it).

    Wow! A ton a different advice. All I know is I used the Atkins diet, and lost 25 pounds, I am only 14, but it works. How in the world could eating fish, chicken, shrimp drinking lots of water, and eating healthy fats, plus staying away from sugar be bad for you? Dr. Atkins states that you are not allowed hydrogenated fat, and only to eat good fats. Think about it, most plans cut calories, you can have a cookie, and a little ice cream just watch the calories. Atkins is about eating healthy food, and making it a lifestyle.
    Dr. Atkins even says you can have that creamy dish, but the fish, and salad, instead of the steak would be a lot better. So sure it won't hurt you, but the fish and salad have benifits you will wake up with nicer nails stronger hair, and have more energy and vitality. Also if your on Atkins you should exercise, weight lifting is great to ensure you don't lose muscle. Life is not about TV. Candy, shopping at the mall, going to the movies. It is about getting on that bike, going up the hill and watching the sun set. It is about waking up at six and watching the sun come up. Going to the Grand Canyon, walking on the beach, with the fresh cool breeze washing over you. Some of you may think when I get THIN, but NO, to be a thin person, you must act like a thin person. Life is full of beauty, and modern inventions are keeping you from it, go outside and discover the beauty in life! :nod
    Be you. Don't let people put you down, because your not as good looking, or as talented as someone else. Everyone has heard the saying... There is always someone more talented, more perfect ect...but there is also someone who is worse off, (Kinda mean, but it's true).

      You said it perfectly. I eat healthier now than i have ever eaten in my entire life. I eat veggies with every meal, and fruits on a daily basis. A lot of chicken, seafood, fish etc. I dont eat any transfats (unless i go out to eat and cant avoid it) and i limit my saturated fats to less than 30 a day. I eat a lot of whole grain and soy products. Its just a very healthy way of eating.
