IHave been low carbing for a long time but is time to go back to induction for a few weeks and I have not been able to locate my book. I know you are not supposed to use more than 2 tsp splenda per day and if I remember correctly this was because too much would trigger cravings. I have not touched sugar in a looooong time and do not crave it. Do I really need to limit splenda to keep the carb count down during induction ?

Re: splenda question
In a word - Yep.
You're limited to 3 servings of sweetener a day during induction. 1 packet = 1 serving. 1 can of diet soda (assuming that the can is one serving) = 1 serving, etc. Each serving should also be counted as 1 gram of carb. -Generally that's an estimation that's a bit on the high side, but that's what the good Doctor told us to do!

Re: splenda question
Yes Brook is right - also I cannot find any permission to increase our daily 3 servings in DANDR, so 3 servings a day is for all stages of Atkins!
