Ok all you Lifers help me out. What are some tips to keep you from falling back into the old WOL, fast food, sugar eating all the time?

I make alot of my own treats and have them when I feel I want something sweet. I dont often feel very deprived. Whenever I do go off a bit and have regular sugary things, I feel yucky the next day (almost feels like a hangover to me) and I realize its not worth it.5'5'' started atkins 1/1/04

I too live in fear of "relapsing" hehe. I love Atkins, but I'm not gonna pretend that I don't wish I could still eat all my old favorites. The best thing to do when you feel like you'll just die if you can't eat a blueberry muffin RIGHT NOW is to drink water. Drink and drink and drink and drink until you think you're going to burst and then drink some MORE. You'll be so full of water you won't even want to think about eating (let alone moving, haha) PLUS the water is good for your diet
Sugar-free Jell-O is a good treat too. No fat, no carbs, ten calories! That's like a stick of gum!

I make myself emergency baggies nearly every day. If I am cooking chicken or pork or fish (whatever my main meat is) I make an extra piece. I then cut it up into bite sized pieces and it into baggies. I cut up celery, cucumbers, cheese and put them into baggies too. If I am going somewhere, I grab a few baggies to take with me. Also, during the day, if I am feeling like I want to eat between meals, I grab a baggie and eat it instead of eating anything I will regret later. Works for me.
I also drink extra water if I get a craving for more food. This usually helps me feel full and not hungry.
