Boy, how we mellow when we figure this plan out!

Betty, thanks for the introduction. Terri and Sskyeye, thanks for at least responding! :guns

How's that for a rowdy post!

I think we can come up with some interesting AFL discussions. Why doesn't everyone start by introducing themselves?

Dang it Perry, I thought You knew who I was. I am so hurt to realize you didn't know me at all. :sadblinky

Okay I will go first. I am a wife, mother of two grown sons, grandmother to 6 with #7 due in Sept. I am a learning disabilities resource teacher at the elementary level. I am of Scot-Irish-Cherokee-Chickasaw lineage. I love to go to pow wows, and dance. You see my user name on the board "lgndkpr" which is "legendkeeper" with all of the vowels removed. My user name reflects not only my heritage, but the fact that I love to keep, and tell the legends/stories of my people.
One thing that just happened to me this past summer was meeting my mother again after not seeing her since I was 11 years old. I also saw my sister again, met some nieces and nephews also. It was a terrific experience. I love to bead, read, do genealogy.

Nice intro, Betty. I learn a little more about you each time you post. I didn't know you liked genealogy.

I'm a computer systems integrator for a major consumer goods company. We make mostly Atkins non-friendly foods (c-h-o-c-o-l-a-t-e) and are now venturing out into the world of low-carb. Some of these products are pretty good but nothing tastes like the real thing. I guess that taste is what drove me to Atkins! lol

I have a wife (of 23 years) and two teenage daughters. My oldest did Atkins with me for a while and then fell off due to outside influences. Very tough to keep the LifeStyle when you're the only one! I do my best and come here every day to get rejuvenated.

I LOVE to golf and work on my cars. And, I pretty much keep to myself (small circle of friends) which might come as a surprise to some members here.

Love to get to know the rest of you!

Hmmm, I'm terrible at this introduction stuff. But with perry :whip what choice do I have? :help

I'm 49 for a few more days, and I now live near Kansas City, Missouri. However, I was born in Alaska (which makes me a native Alaskan but not an Alaska Native) and since then I've lived in Kansas, Oregon, back to Alaska, back to Oregon, Nevada, Arizona, New Jersey, and now here. But mostly I just live in the state of confusion. I've done all kinds of jobs in my life, most recently casino surveillance. But right now I'm in grad school, working on my Master's degree. I designed my own program in the images used to express and perpetuate racism. This is only my second semester, and already I'm wondering what I've gotten myself into. I also have an Associates degree in computer science, and I really don't know what I want to be when I grow up, except a lifelong Atkins success story.

                    Hi Everyone!
I am a 21 year old college student at UCLA working at a law firm for the summer (which is why I have so much desk time to spend on this website!). I started Atkins with my mom and her BF, mostly as an experiment, and now I am here "for life!" The benefits and results of this WOL have been unbelievable, and I plan to continue this throughout my lifetime. I moved through the earlier stages faster because I did not have much weight to lose when I started, and now I am really focusing on maintaining my weight while increasing muscle mass. I am also preparing myself for continuing this WOL over the next year, as I will be moving back down to school in a month where it will be markedly harder to maintain such great eating and exercise habits. Anyways, so nice to "meet" you all, I love having stories and info to place with the screen names!

Hey, Iap. Long time no post! They just put me in where the most successful losers hang out (and used to hang out). I consider it an honor to follow in your ADBB footsteps.

                          Come back often!
