  • I REACHED MY GOAL!!!--I POSTED MY AFTER PIC!!!

    OMG :joy :joy
    this morning was my fitting for my wedding dress !!! they weighed me there and I lost 52 pounds since June 1st and am now at 136.5!!!
    I hadn't weighed myself in a few days but I felt like I had lost a few and then Boom! I was sooo excited and I guess I still am :joy
    But now I have no idea what to reintroduce or what to do to keep my weight at that point.I'm also getting a tummy tuck on september 16th and they are taking away about 12 pounds of loose skin!!..I guess its expected if you go from 298 to 136.5!!...the dress people were in total shock lol...but now they've extended my final fitting for mid October!!...
    I just need a bit of info from you maintnance pros about what to reintroduce and how much ...
    heres what i eat in a day:

    Breakfast:Atkins pancakes with strawberries and blueberries

    Meal 2: Pork in a 1 cup salad with 3 radishes some cucumbers, green peppers, and 4 strawberries and a few blueberies

    for Meals 3 and 4 instead of the pork i have a chicken medallion in it for meal 3 and shrimp for meal 4

    Meal 5 1 PVL 0 carb pudding

    I drink about 8 litres of water a day(120 oz)
    and 1 diet pink crush per meal
    I hae my multivitamins and Essensial oils 3 times daily along with L-glutamine
    I lift weights 4 times a week for about 50 minutes and interval jog 5km or 3.6 miles a day before breakfast!

    Congrats on your upcoming wedding and the success you had making your goal weight! Looks like your body is still in high gear. You just need to take a few breaths and drag out your copy of DANDR. Since it appears you made it through the OWL phases just add more of OWL friendly foods to your diet and then read the Maintenance chapters again. Don't be alarmed but you WILL regain some weight when you do this. It is only your body's attempt to find a balance point. You should see a bounce of 3-5 lbs. and then it will level off. This is just water neeed to keep that balance.

    We also need to see pics of you before/after but at a minimum.. .after. ha

        Congrats on reaching goal. I know how exciting and terrifying that is. You have worked so hard to get it off, and suddenly (yeah right after months of hard work it is gone) that goal you were striving for is right there in front of you. Now the terrifying part, you think what do I do now. I don't know how to act because everything has been geared to lose weight and now it is time to shift gears and maintain weight.
        Well let me tell you it can be done, and I know you will be able to do it. I have kept my weight off for almost one whole year, so I know it is possible.

        Okay what to do. First get out your DANDR book and re-read ch. 17 on maintainnce. Reading that chapter will give you a place to start.
        Secondly looking at your menu, I can see you need to be eating more veggies. In the early phases your fat and protein intake were higher. Like in induction where your fat intake was at 65%protein was at 30% and carbs at 5%. As you move up the fat goes down dramatically and the carbs increase. Your percentages should be more balanced now.

        A good tip to remember is not to get caught up in using to many of the manufactured low carb foods. Read labels carefully. I am especially talking about those low carb bars, and that type of food that I usually call frankenfoods. The best food is still the real food and the fresher the better.

        Don't be afraid to return to OWL or even induction for a few days if you need to restart the fat burning. Don't stray more than 5 pounds beyond your goal. You know I am sure that each time it is a little harder to unload that extra unwanted fat.

        Well I hope that helps some, and doens't put you on over load of information.

        Just remember to listen to your body, watch the foods that might be triggers and watch your eating habits. While you don't need to count the carbs as you did in the early days you still need to be aware of how many and what type of carbs you are consuming.

          Thank you so much for the support!...I'll go right on chapter 17 :nod ...I just want to do this right and not mess myself up...I guess it's like Perry said, my body might jump up 3-5 pounds from water and then stabilize itself...all I know is that its both exciting and scary just because I didn't fathom at the idea that I would reach my goal so quickly...but for now I have some reading to do

              Welcome to the Club :hug
              The first thing I'd do is add some veggies and some nuts.
              Careful on the nuts tho, it's hard to stop at a little.

                      congrats yest slowing increase your carbs a bit eating the foods on the upper ppart of the OWL ladder and your weight loss should stop. You did find yor CCLL in OWL didn't you?
