    yep what biker said.

Did you remember to lower yuour frats as you upped your carbs too? Maintenance is on about 50% fats not the 60-65 of the weight loss phases of the program. You could also increase your exercise and get more carbs. i know when I was down after my knee surgery my carbs level dropped way down in the mid 40s

Wow - am I jealous. This must be a female/age/metabolism thing because I need to keep my carbs under 40 (and preferably under 35) to lose on a regular basis. I assume I'll maintain at 50-65. (I'm female, age 52, metabolism of a titsi-fly, I think).

DH on the other hand, is 5 lbs from goal and hasn't reached his max carb level yet -- he's right around 120-130 carbs right now and still losing a pound a week.

Life is so unfair - but I'll live with it

        Thanks Goddess and 2Big.

Maybe I'll try "splurging" and exceed 55 a day or two a week and see what happens. I don't go hungry, I just have a different meal or snack than I actually want some days.

Something I don't understand fully - how to measure the percentages (gram or calorie). I've been consistent since the begining with 62%-8%-28% calories, 42%-16%-42% grams.

          the perscents are calorie based.

you take your grams of fats multiply by 9 cals/gram and you have your fat cals then you take your daily total cals and divide the fat cals by the total cals for the percents same as the carbs and proteins except you multiply them by 4 cals/gram.

As we added back the carbs in OWL we should have been eating slightly less fat at each consumption of food. you added more veggies to your salad or saute but not more fat.

You had larger portions of the carb foods at each meal so you ate slightly less of your fat food. It only take a fewe bites to make the percents change.

If you were for example eating 1000 just for the ease of the math cals with 30% protein and 65% fats and 5% cabs and you added 5 more net carbs of veggies as say jicama that would be 49 cals for the 5 net carbs so you would be getting pretty full from that cup of jiacama and eat a bit less of your cheese snack and your fat grams would go down making your fat percent go down and your carb percent go up. remember calories are calculated on the total carbs grams not just the net carb grams as fiber has cals just not useable by humans cals.

just rememeber we only eat enough to satisfy our hunger at the time we are eating and those high fiber carbs are very satisfying.

          EDIT
