  • Premaintenance (and long term plan) help

Well, I followed induction to the letter, OWL to the letter so far, and THINK I'm doing Pre-Maintenance correctly, but could use some input.

I have 8.5 lbs left to lose. I'm down from a size 16 to a 6 in 55 lbs. I look fantastic, have been exercising diligently as well as chasing 1 3 yo and lugging 1 22 lb 8 mo old. I also get very little sleep. So I think I burn a good deal of calories every day.

I never really get full. Ever. And Ketosis didn't really aid in the appetite suppression for me this time either.

My current carb level is 50, I lost inches and lbs at every level consistently.

I'm having a hard time modifying my menus to include both more carbs AND less fat, because then I'm still truly hungry or at least hungry sooner. When I add carbs and a bit of fat (I've never been "gobs" of mayo or "drenched" in butter), I know I'm over on the calorie count, but it looks like I'm eating more what long term is going to look like, y'know? And I'm still losing well.

Any thoughts? I guess I don't have spec questions, just wondering some BTDT from those I trust. Most IRL say either go back to "normal" LOL! People are so weird!!!
What is it, a RACE? It's coming off, right????

Re: Premaintenance (and long term plan) help

I had to think about this a little before I answered and I think the best advice I can give..is to find "content" it is not easy ..seriously especially if you have spent your life waiting for "full" instead of finding "content" ...if my stomach growls now I drink a HUGE glass of water and wait..if I still feel hungry I eat a plate of food..I don't snack at all ...snacking makes me hungry...so I will stop what I am doing (if I can of course) sit down and eat a complete meal and keep listening as I am eating to see when the hunger is gone and my "content" kicks in...some foods do trigger me to crave crapp that I still have to deal with daily ...

I personally have not been able to become complacent with my diet ..but I do not "count" my food I just try to find "content" and avoid feeling "full" does that make sense?

I don't ever think I will be able to go back to "normal" because I got fat being "normal" !!!!

I like where I am and want to stay here bad enough to only put healthy fresh foods in my body ...enjoy the occasional (very rare) treat of something high carb ....and for sure try daily not to over eat anymore ...it is NOT easy but it is my chosen lifestyle

I hope this gives you some help and congratulations on how far you have come
