In DANDR it says that once you get into pre m, your weightloss will slow down to 1lb a week. well that has been pretty much my pace throughout OWL. So im curious to know, how everyones pace changed once they got into pre m.

    thanks!

edit: ps. in OWL i went up by 5grams, (with new food groups) every other day. (ie, 30 monday, 35 tuesday, 30 wednesday etc). do you advise me to do the same with pre m? except in 10grams?
Also i didnt really use the full 5 grams of new food (ie nuts...id stall if i ate the full 5 grams) everytime. would this apply to pre m as well? sorry...loads of questions for the new world of pre m!

Looks like you got lost in the shuffle, Yuri. I'm in Boot Camp most of the time right now but I came in here and read your post.

Personally, I did not do the pre-maintenance phase. I followed Induction for 3 weeks, went to OWL for 4 weeks (met my goal) and went to maintenance. I think pre-maintenance is important if you don't speed to your goal like I did.

Sorry I can't be more help. I just didn't want to leave you hanging.

      Others should chime in.

        thanks perry :hug
so how exactly did you transition into M, without going through PM? (carb counts, diff foods, etc)

        thanks again

I was really paranoid about the transition. I wanted to stop ketosis but I couldn't. I increased carbs by eating more grains, fruits and some starches. I just continued at the same rate for a few weeks before I believed I was out of ketosis. I say believed because I had no real way of knowing. I didn't use the strips. Once I started gaining I knew I hit my balance point. That's the level I've remained at until this day.

I still shy away from starches and some fruits (oranges in particular). They are the trigger foods I discovered over the past few months.

I'm not a scientific guy but I hope that helped you some.

I just ate more carbs as I went along in the form of fruit and nuts.
I just got to a point where the weight loss kinda stopped.
My diet today isn't really too different. I just throw in some fruit or higher carb veggies now and then.
