  • I think I've entered Maintenance "accidentally"

Perhaps this is the weight my body is comfortable at.
According to fitday, I'm no longer obese, and the doctor says I'm just about right according to charts, etc. He also says that some of the charts really make you too thin, when they list the "ideal" weight.

Anyway, I've stayed at this weight for a while, now (since July 19th I've been in and around this weight - give or take three pounds). For the past month, however, it's been pretty steady.

Could be the additional exercise, or could be a leveling out. At least it's not a gain, and I don't want to call it a "stall" because I haven't taken measurements since Sept 20th.

Anyway, I'm still comfortable with this, and my clothes (all the new ones) still fit properly, so perhaps I've reached this plateau, or perhaps I've reach the "ideal" for me.

Either way, I'm not going to change my signature/profile just yet - I'm sort of in a "wait and see" mode.

I've been tracking my carbs, and there are some days when I do have quite a few (some days it reaches a "net" of 50), but they are all "legal" - like perhaps squash, rutabaga (can't usually get real turnip here - going to have to grow it myself next year), or similar. The other day I had a slice of freshly-made 100% whole wheat bread (about 15 g carb per slice), but was careful with the rest of my intake.

I'm not sure if I'm asking a question - perhaps I'm just rambling and trying to sort things out in my head.

Let me be the first, then, to welcome you to AFL!

I think you may get surprised with additional weight loss down the road if you continue your low-carb lifestyle. Even if you don't its all about maintaining easily and you seem to have mastered that process!

Yep, I think you have arrived at maintainance, so I say welcome. Keep on keeping on and you will be fine.
