    I too am having this issue! I was lighter in pounds before but fatter throughout the waist....so I must be doing something right. I know numbers can be tricky! I feel like in my head I should weigh 120 but I don't

      Same thing for me. I am THREE POUNDS away from goal, which is 130. Three stinking pounds....but my body loves those lbs like a cat loves fish, and it's fighting me, screaming and kicking and biting. >.<

        Your age is also a big issue. At 47 is not easy to go DOWN as much as you want to. I dropped to 136 ( my lowest ever) pretty easy, only took me a year and some +3 months... but after that my weight climbed up to almost 150 lbs. I never changed anything in my diet. Interestingly, my clothes still were fitting nicely... I was puzzled.

        So I decided to cut on amount of food, and this seems to work. I went back down, but very slow and painfully... now I am around 143-145 lbs. I hope I can get down to 140 at some point... but the issue here is: your initial weight loss is not ALWAYS the one you keep and maybe for many reasons.

          ditto got to 133.8 but 140 now. 55 and body wants to keep those pounds. I may need to cut calories. Don't need as much at 55 and I don't exercise nearly enough. Guess I answered my own problem

            Yes, the body is more resistant to losing as our metabolism slows with age, but I am here to tell you that I am 51 years of age and have reached the weight I was when I was in high school. It can be done, if you stay focused and work your butt off with exercise. AGE NEED NOT BE AN EXCUSE.

            PS .. I am also hypothyroid and take estrogen ..

              I agree with Betty, I'm convince that the non-negotiable exercise is a huge part of breaking a stall or plateau. Since reaching my goal my weight has fluctuated up to 10 lbs a few times, and the one constant thing that takes it up is lack of aerobic exercise, and restaring always takes it down. it also affects my inches lost as well.
