What do you count with Dreamfield's? I got a box of spaghetti and we were planning on having it tonight. It says 5 digestible carbs, but for the 2 oz serving it says 42g carbs, and 5g fiber.

        Re: Pasta?

I'm eating very small portions of pasta... and still losing a bit. I am a pasta fan too - can't imagine life completely without. I'm going to firm things up after the New Year - more exercise especially and see if I can hit my goal by the end of April... in spite of a bit of pasta once or twice a week.

Great thread...I learned a lot reading it. I have never liked pasta so I feel a bit lucky but it's nice to know the option is there if I ever have an strange craving for it.

I also found this, which looks interesting. I like black soybeans, but I haven't tried this yet

              Re: Pasta?

Dreamfields pasta is great. Before, when I was at my goal weight, I enjoyed it weekly. It tastes wonderful. Here in Canada it is now only available at specialty stores. Not at Reg. grocery anymore too bad....so I buy it by the case. The lasagne noodles are great for real low carb lasagne. It freezes well too.

Out of curiousity, where do you find is the best speciality place to purchase it from? The only one I know of that sells it is the Low Carb Grocery, but i've never dealt with them before. Just curious.

I bought mine at Tom Thumb, which is just a regular supermarket here in Dallas. They are owned by Safeway.

Thanks Gonnabe, unfortunately we wont have the same stores here :-( I was hoping i'd hear back from slimama since we're located in the same Province in Canada. we don't have many suppliers of those kinds of foods here. though with the strength of our dollar it's right now almost worth paying for the shipping from the US i would think!

I JUST BOUGHT DREAMFIELDS PASTA AT INGLES. IT WAS FANTASTIC!! MY ENTIRE FAMILY ATE IT AND DIDN'T KNOW THE DIFFERENCE. I GOT A WHITE ALFREDO SAUCE THAT ONLY HAD 3 CARBS PER SERVING AND I ATE IT WITH GRILLED CHICKEN. IT WAS REALLY GOOD!!

Thanks gonnabe...and fantastic work on the weight loss!!! you look like a whole new person!

You know they did used to sell it here at most grocery stores but no longer do...so I think it might be an old list, though I will hop onto their site and email them i think.

The problem is the Canadian Gov't last year banned any foods that had the 'low carb' claim on them (but of course not low fat LOL), so we lost things like Carb Options etc. Thoguh Dreamfields didn't have "low carb' ont eh package, they seemed to pull out with the other anyway..it's a shame!

yes, the low Carb Grocer is where i purchase it from. (in Toronto) I buy it by the case. since I don't live there. They also ship. it keeps forever. That is the only place I have found it in Ontario.
