  • Ten pounds away from maintanence but it feels like forever.

I've been fighting to get off my last 10 pounds. Why is my body resisting? Is it just me or did the last ten pounds take forever for you guys to get off as well? I've even tried going back to induction eating but my body is still being very stubborn. I'm only 5'3 and according to my doctor I should weigh between 112-120. I'm at 131 for the time being. I was also an ex athlete, I'm beginning to wonder if this is the weight I should be. I still have a layer of fat on my hips, buttocks & upper thighs I figure I still have 5-10 pounds to go.

Hey!! It's nice to see so many Canadians on this board. It's a small world after all. Thanks so much for the compliment and you also look amazing :yes . Not only do you look much thinner but also you appear to look younger. Thank god for OHIP! I'm gonna need to get some skin removed soon, I'm sick of wearing body contouring undergarments to hold in my lose skin.

I'm also 5'3" and set my goal at 125. Mostly based on the fact that when I was 115, Mom said I needed to gain 10lbs. Even at that anorexic weight, I saw fat, so I'm freaking huge in my mind at 130, but it appears to be the weight my body wants to be.

I struggled for months to get to 125 and couldn't keep it there for more than a few weeks. However, 130 is much easier to maintain and where I spend a LOT of time on my way down. I'm not swimsuit model material and not meant to be, so I just have to change the way I see my body.

You look fantastic, so I wouldn't worry too much about what the scale says.

Its all about where you are most comfortable. I was at 115 for quite a while (im 5'5) but now Im at 125 and I do find it easier to maintain and a place where my body feels comfortable. I decided to make 120-125 my range. Age plays a part too I think. As we age our skin doesnt pull back into place as well and at 115 all my facial wrinkles showed! At 120-125 my face is a bit more filled out.
You look fantastic and only you can decide what the right weight is for you.

Thank you all so much for the feedback. I've been holding steady for about 3 months between 131 and 132. I think 130 would be very easy to maintain but I'm gonna try to get to 125 by summer. However, I'm gonna let my body decide where it wants to be.

check your body fat percents and see if you can actually get to that number ands be healthy> At 167 pounds I'm underweight on the Cooper site link Becky SUe posted based on frame size and height. I had my body fat tested and am at the bottom of a healthy level for female jocks so I called it goal and have been maintaining.

I am new to this area of the board but noticed this thread and wanted to join in.....

I too, am only 11 lbs from goal but it is taking some time to lose. I know that the last few can take awhile but it can get frustrating sometimes. I am still losing inches which is great but the scale is slow to move. In three weeks, I lost another inch of my thighs, hips and arms.

I am an active exerciser and to "kick it up a bit" I joined a gym. Before that, I was running and doing aerobics in and around the home. Since the weather is cold, I needed my high impact cardio.

My carb intake is around 40-45 a day, somedays slightly higher others slighly lower. My daily menue looks like this...

B-1 scambled egg with cheese OR- 1/4 cup of keto flakes with unsweetened soy milk

Snack- 1/4 cup LC cottage cheese with strawberries

L- mixed greens with SF jello

Snack- homemade beef stick or cheese

D- protein like pork, chicken or fish, 1/2 cup vegetables beans or califlower

Snack- Cheese or pork rinds oe soy chips

                      Any menue suggestions or tips?

                      EDIT
