  • 7-11 breakfast and lunch prayers!

Hubby is leaving for a job tomorrow, that will have him in a hotel for a few weeks. He leaves the Hotel before 5:30AM every morning, when nothing is open except 7-11. He will get back into town around 7pm. He works in the bush, so there are no stores, restaurants or coffee shops LOL.

I do all the food prep for him, I make his lunches every morning (7 days/week)... and have helped him towards his 42lb loss since July 21. he does not cook, or prepare food ever, and there is no way he will be doing any chopping or rolling in his hotel room after a 14 hour day working in -25°F LOL.

I bought him a couple dozen bottled water and some cans of cashews, so he will be covered there, the only meal he will get to eat sitting down at a table will be dinner every night. and luckily he knows what to order.

I am hoping he has a fridge in his hotel room, so he can order an extra chix breast and ceasar salad etc to take to work with him the next day.... otherwise, he will be having to buy his food at a convenience store, and that includes breakfast.

I wonder how long before he gets sick of beef jerky, cheese and pepperonis LOL.

I am not only going to miss him (we are never apart) but I am going to be worried sick that he will just go back to his old habits. Wish him luck and send him all the strength you can!!

Thanks guys, I'll keep you posted

stick little notes about how proud you are of him for continuing to do his new Atkins WOE during the difficult time period in his rolled up socks.

and tuck some notes about possible food choices in his pants pockets

pack him a can opener so he can get those cans of tuna open when he does do a great job rmembering what to buy. Can he get a cooler for some mayo and condiments to go with those lunch meats he gets at the 7/11 refrigerator section? have you packed him some sandwich holding low carb tortillas? or some flax rolls using nullos recipe or the revolution rolls using the atkins recipe? how about some cans of veggies from the cabinet?

There's those 'tuna salad packs..i know they sell them here? in Toronto..they're made by clover leaf, and they don't even need a can opener. keep your eye out for pillers peperoni or pillers turkey bites, about $7 a pack but you get about 40. I'm sure he'll have a fridge in his room, if not..the balcony should do lol.

cheese strings are also a good idea if he has a fridge option. also, I like to use Protein shakes to curb my appetite when i'm on a bit driving trip. If you have a loblaws/no firlls etc, i can get a whole can of protein shake (equality brand, comes in chocolate, strawberry or vanilla) for 14$ lasts a long time!. and one drink fills me up.

Just some ideas, hope it helps.
