    Re: Weight Watchers as maintenance???

    Good luck with that.

I gained weight when I tried following WW. I followed it religiously and gained weight, which was enough for me to say "Never again."

My mom goes to WW and manages to lose weight by fasting two days a week before weigh-in! She's 80 years old and is wasting all of her muscle in her attempts to diet.

it is confusing to me why you think ww is any different than atkins... except for that you pay for it?
I agree especially when you look at the core plan with ww although you can eat unlimited rice and pasta if you just ignore that bit then it's actually quite adaptive to atkins. That said I don't really see the point, if you've got to goal on atikins you know what is good and bad for you, just adjust your carb in take to what suits you without putting on weight.

Personally, I like atkins because you don't have to worry about points and adding things up etc it's just good old common sense and it's a healthy way of life. I personally don't go in for the high fat version (I know I should) because I don't feel well eating a lot of fat as I never have eaten a lot of fat.
