  • Atkins to Abs?

Anyone here use Atkins to get to a six pack?

I'm currently at 175 of my goal 170 and I think I'll get abs around 160ish.

If anyone here has experience maintaining Atkins weight loss to achieve abs?

Could you tell me how your body responded to weight loss at low bodyfat, what surprised you about your body, diet etc. ? Any tips for keeping the weight loss steady etc

    thanks.

See abs, I'd say, for a male, about 15% body fat. I'm currently at about 13.1% or so. What surprised me the most is vascularity. To achieve really heavy definition, you have to reach about 8% body fat. To keep things moving, I would recommend psyllium husks / fiber type of supplement.
After a while, you will not need a fiber supplement. What surprised me the most about the diet, and that is when I was doing the induction phase, extended, was that I started achieving a pump (considering I was carb depleted).

The speed of fat you lose slows, the less bodyfat you have right? Does weight loss slow?

What can you do to combat that? What do you do to push through plateaus.

Does your body become more or less tolerant of carbs etc?

Yes, of course it does. But if you are training intensely enough you should be able to measure a drop of skin fold thickness every 14-20 days at your supraillic.

Wow, from experience, is to increase the intensity of your cardio, not the duration. Use interval training from time to time because it can lead to over-training very rapidly since I assume you are lifting weights.

The carbohydrate issue relating to muscle gains and body fat loss is one you'll have to do research on. Google Dr. Mauro Di Pasquale.

Abs will not just pop up - you will have to work for them no matter what you do for diet. (The abs challenge is just starting )
