  • Anyone just starting maintainence?

    I am looking for someone just starting maintenance who wants to pal up. Anyone?




    Started this diet on Sun 4/26/09

    50 lbs gone on Sun 9/27/09

    Well its been over a year now and I am currently on maintenance and still trying to adjust to the "new" ME. No major struggles to report, just livin' day to day.

    Welcome to maintenance SGG!!! Congrats on making goal! Isn't it just the greatest feeling?

      It feels great, but a little scary. Well ALOT scary, I am having alot of anxiety over it today. I am still losing, which means I can keep upping the carbs, but I am not missing anything right now. I have inputed a bunch of stuff into Fitday ) anticipating having them one day, but don't know where to start. I am not hungry as I can eat quite alot and some days can't finish, any suggestions? I thought maybe starting with a half a sweet potato but if I am not craving it or missing it why should I bother? Any suggestions?

        How is maintenance going for you. I am there too now. What is your experience so far? I am a bit apprehensive but what can I do?
        Startdate: November 18, 2007. Female 5'2"

        May Challenges 2010
        Push-ups: 450/800
        Abs: 850/1900
        Squats: 650/1200
        Lunges: 500/1000
        Strength: 490/1200
        Running: 50/100 km

          Welcome to maintenance Liv! No need to be apprehensive...You'll be fine. Just call on your OWL and Pre-maintenance experience and remember to continue to be vigilant.

            Hi ladies..
            I, too, am starting on maintenance (gotta change it from 14-day induction, huh?)

            I, too, have found I'm not interested in many rungs. Alcohol I don't drink, nuts did not work for me in ANY form. I don't care about beans, or fruit or starchy veggies. Berries are fine, dont' care about other fruits and was ADDICTED to all thesse things before Atkins, so why bother adding when I know they make me addicted anyway, and I don't want em? Do like the occassional low carb tortilla, but that's about all for grains, too...

            I find that my weight flutctuates around 5 lbs throughout any week. I am going to try to lay off the heavy exercise and see if that makes it STAY at the lower of those five. I think it will as I have nowhere else to clean up my diet. No sweetener, no shakes (half a bar a day, some days), no sugar at all, no flour. I love this WOE and am never deprived or even tempted! It's a friggin MIRACLE

            How can we become "buddies" and write back and forth? I think that will help me tighten up this last part? Just general writing on this board is random and helps, but I think a regular correspondanc with some at the same phase and experience would kick it up a notch?

              We could start a maintenance check in thread in this forum. Many boards have them but we do not. So we could see if that worked. That is my thought
