night time leg cramps can be from electroyle imblance caused by our poor selections in the veggie catagory, some medical conditions, and for a few dyhydration.

Check your reports in fitday.com for your mineral and vit totals and see if you are deficient in any. I was in potassium and my doc recommended I take 2 OTC potassium pills every day during induction. I don't need them now.

You can also try drinking sugar-free tonic water. The quinine in it helps with night-time cramps.

Could be lack of calcium. I had terrible leg cramps when I was pregnant. My OB said that during pregnancy while the baby is developing if the mommy is not getting enough calcium the developing baby uses the calcium from mom's bones.

Also, I was reading an article the other day that mentioned that our body needs calcium to break down proteins. If you are not getting enough calcium in your diet or through supplements, your body will use the calcium in your bones causing leg cramps. I take an extra calcium supplement along with my regular multi-vitamin. That seems to work for me.
