  • Have I found my CCLL??

    I'm still experimenting to figure out my CCLL:
    • For the 4-week period between 3/8 and 4/4 I averaged 57 net carbs/day and lost 4 pounds and 11 inches.

      For the 4-week period between 4/5 and 5/3 I averaged 61 net carbs/day and lost no pounds or inches.


    SO, I figured I’d hit upon my CCLL.

    But in the 3 weeks since 5/4 I’ve averaged 62 net carbs/day and have lost 2.5 pounds and an inch or so – which makes me think I’m not there yet.

    Other details:
    • Calories averaged 1800/day for the entire time period.

      For the first two periods above, my fat was 63% vs.13% carbs vs. 24% protein. Since 5/4 it’s been 57% fat vs.17% carbs vs. 25% protein. (I usually eat 22 to 25 grams of fiber a day, which makes the carb% higher.)

      Exercise has been fairly constant with Curves 3 or 4 times a week and treadmill HIIT 3 or 4 times a week.

      And I checked my food diary and no new foods introduced.


    So, my conclusion is that I still haven’t found my CCLL-- but that I'm probably close. Are there other things I'm not considering?

    good to see you are still with us exercisewise since you have been MIA in the ADBB pres Challenge.

    Our body's do a lot of plateauing on Atkins with large amounts lot. you can get your body fat measured at Curves and be plesantly surprized to see fat lost even when the scales don't move as you add muscle mass and fluids.

    the way to figure out if it is your CCLL is to lower the amount back down 5 net carbs and see what happens if you immediately start losing again then you know you are close.

    During OWl sometimes it is the foods we add in the new amounts and not the CLL that can stop us too.
    that is why OWL is the great Food experient lab part of Atkins.
