  • OWL Rungs

Hey everybody, I'm starting OWL tomorrow and I have a couple questions.

Hypothetically, if I was on rung 3, berries, would i be eating my 20g of carbs from induction, plus 5g of veggies, plus 5g of dairy, plus 5g of berries? Or, would I be eating just 30g of anything, plus the 5g of berries? I probably confused everbody, so if anyone has any questions about my question, please feel free to ask.

    Yes,
But you dont need to start at 20. Example
If you were eating 13 carbs on induction the Rung 1 would put you at 18 Rung2(Dairy) at 23, and and Rung 3 (berries) at 28 carbs.

That depends. There's 2 things you have to do during OWL.
      1. Find your CCLL
      2. Find how different foods affect you.

In terms of finding your CCLL, everyone has his/her own carb tolerance level. You can more or less estimate what your carb level is matching the pounds you lost during your first 14 days of Induction with the Metabolic Resistance Charts in Chapter 12 or 13. People with a high degree of metabolic resistance to weight loss will need to stay below 20 net carbs daily in order to lose weight. People with average metabolic resistance will have a higher carb level. People with a low metabolic resistance will have an even higher carb level.

That's why I think it better to stay on Rung 1 and find your CCLL because Rung 1 is more Induction veggies and you already know how they affect your weight loss. Once you find your CCLL, you can move up the rungs, trying out 5 net carbs of a particular food.
