I just added a recipe in 'main dishes' for meatloaf, if that helps - at least for one night a week. Hamburger is probably the cheapest meat, right?
Taco salad made with ground beef or chicken is good too. I would try to use more of the hamburger to cut down on the cost. The kids could roll theirs up in tortillas.
My husband and I are doing Atkins, but I have three kids who are not. I'm only just starting, but for the kids, I add baked potatos or Lipton noodle packages to their meals as well, which likely cuts down on the cost. I don't know if that helps.
It also doesn't help that my 12 year old became a vegetarian about the same day we started Atkins - she says for the next month. lol. That complicates matters even more.
