1 more week until I move to the veggie rung! I'm wondering how long I should stay on each rung...I mean I don't want to get to the last rung and still have 30 pounds to lose or something. I have lost weight fairly quickly in induction, yesterday was my 1 week mark and I am already down from 201-189. I would stay on induction longer, but I think moving on to the veggie run is important for me since I lack a little in the veggie department. I really want to spend some time there and get to know at least 5 more new veggies, and find at least 4 that I like...(I'm sure I won't like every one I try). So I'm just wondering how do most people decide how long they stay on each rung?

Hi Clare, I'm going to move this from 14 Day Induction to the OWL forum.
But essentially, you can spend as much or as little time as you want on a rung.

Hi Clare,
I have been on the Veggie rung for ages, but I dont mind because I really love veggies anyway.
I'm also staying on the Veggie rung because I've decided to go and find my CCLL first, then drop back down to a lower carb level and then go through the rungs - that way I know what my outer limits are, and how many carbs I can eat before I stop losing.

Do it for a week at least.
If everything's kewl then go to the next rung.
If you stop losing, stay at that rung and see if it's a quick stall. If things move again then move on. It is normal to stall and it doesn't necessarily have to do with the rungs. It's something you need to play with.
You should be able to go a few rungs before you notice anything different.
Don't skip the booze rung....it's there for your mental health.
There will be a point where you stall...hopefully that will be your goal weight...for me it was 10 pounds under my goal.
(I set my goal pretty high...still considered overweight by the BMI)

I'm not as knowledgeable about OWL as the others but ive decided to stay on the veggie rung for atleast a month trying out the different veggies seeing what i like and do not like just like you.
Ive been on the veggie rung for 1 week now and let me tell you its hard work getting it all in.I didnt realise how much 5 carbs of cauliflower was, its alot.
I'm usually too full to get it all in but i do try.
I admit i absolutely love the new veggies ive tried and this rung so far i can definetly stay on it for the next 3 weeks.
Good luck hope allt he advice helps.

I agree!!! Trying to move up one carb level to 25g, I find that I have to eat something like 10 cups veggies a day!!! Esp as I'm limited in how much cheese I can eat, and on days I don't use a lot of sauces, herbs or spices, that's a lot of veggies to eat!
But I love them anyway, and I get around it by eating some of the higher carb veggies like turnip and pumpkin
