  • Step away from the scale!

I have made a decision to stay off the scale for the next 2 weeks. No, I'm not going back to induction! I'm what is what is called a scale slave, so this is a big thing for me. I don't think I've gone 2 days without weighing myself, since I started this woe.

Wish me some luck poeples, I'm gonna need it!

Good luck Iyshi! I weigh myself every morning and 90% of the time, it doesn't bother me that it doesn't move and has barely moved in the last 2 1/2 months...... but the other 10% of the time, I want to SCREAM!! Jump up and down on it and kill it dead!!! :guns

Oh my, can we tell it's the week before TOM? hehehe :sarcasm

Good for you. I weigh once a week and while it hasn't killed me, it does make me a bit anxious the day before. I have this fear that even knowing I have done everything correctly the pounds are going to sneak back on. Pretty silly huh? :geek

I recently remembered that I have to weigh-in for the 4th of July Challenge, but after that, it's off for me until July 13th!

Re: Step away from the scale!

          I'm tired of the scale.
For a month, I didn't get to step on a scale, since I was on Basic Training.
I returned and was apprehensive to step on, but did it. To my delight, my weight was the same.
That was a month ago. I've been working at getting in better shape (was hurt during BT, so need to recuperate and get back to where I need to be to do more training). So, I've been weight training and running.

Yesterday, the scale was my enemy, and it looks like I'm five pounds heavier than a month ago. Haven't checked the tape measure, but my clothing is no worse (except the thighs - which did not fit adequately into a pair of tight pants I had previously purchased - and I'm pretty sure that was muscular difference, rather than fat).

So, now I have to convince myself that the gain is muscle, rather than fat, because otherwise I'd be entirely peeved.

Re: Step away from the scale!

I haven't weighed since I started, and I don't plan to. The REAL signs for me of how well I am doing is the measuring tape.

From past experience with this woe, I know that if the scale only shows a .5 lb loss, I will still have lost several inches, so what's the point?

Go for it! Toss that thing somewhere where it will take you several hours to get to it!
