  • Having trouble getting in enough fat and calories

    I have been eating until satiated. I find that my calories for the day are on the low side. I am not getting in enough fat on some days either. Some days are fine. Today I ate 3 meals and had a total of 1100 calories. My fat intake was at 55%. Is this ok? I don't think I should eat some cream cheese snack just to get in extra fat and calories, but if I need to --OK! When I checked how many calories a day I should be eating to lose it said 1880. I never get close to that.

    BTW- I'm female, 5'6", 34years, currently weigh 223 pounds and excercise moderately.

    By Maintenance Phase, the fat % is about 50%.

    It's easy to increase your fat % and calories, just add a tablespoon of butter or oil to your foods. 1 tablespoon of butter or oil has about 100 calories.

    Read the stickie above about the fat percentages and you'll see that it doesn't take much to increase the fat percentages or calories.
