  • Fat/protein/carb %'s

    Hi everyone,
I am new to this board, but have been doing induction since Jan, and started coming to this board a week or so ago, have already met some nice folks here. Hope to get to know all of you well.
I want to start OWL and so I have read the book and read all the stickies here and have discovered I have been making lots of mistakes but have still lost 38 lbs. so far. With about 25 to go.
One problem was I was eating 4 cups salad per day including "other vege" list which states I am only to eat 1 cup of these.
I also lost my initial journal of how much I lost 1 w weeks. I believe about 4 or 6 lbs. doing it wrong . So, this is day 2 of hopefully getting it right this time.
So, I did go to fitday and finally got how to plug in my meals, this is a feat as 'puter challenged I am.
It says my fat was 73%, protein 22, carb 5%.
So, how do I get this to balance out, trial and error, I really just want to know what to do. I need a how to book not a round about way of how to do it. Is there anyone out there that can relate? Or is this just me? I realllyy want to do this right after all it's been 6 months.
I want to get this last 25 off and it has slowed down and stuff and I want to hear from others of how to get this off and do OWL. There is the big question, how to lose and add food. It really has me stumped . I'll keep reading maybe someone has a straight forward approach on how they have done it that I haven't read yet. I am open to learn.
Thanks for listening and all the support I've received.

    Good job so far.
Your weight loss is supposed to slow as you get closer to goal.
Now that you've lost a bunch of weight you want to focus on fitness, ie exercise. A regular workout plan will help keep the weight off by building fat-burning muscle. As you are able to burn more calories working out, you can up the carbs easily and have more food choices.
By the time you hit goal your weight loss should really be slow so you just ease into it.
I really think that after 6 months it's the exercise that will help you keep moving towards goal, and allow you to move up the OWL ladder.

    Hope that answers your question!

      hi Joy,

      Did you read this: http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...ad.php?t=11313

It doesn't take much to lower or raise the fat%. In fact it takes as little as a tablespoon of added fat per day.
