I am holding at the berry rung and I noticed in another post that honeydew and cantalope are allowed on this rung. Is this true? It just seems too good to be true. I love the taste of these, especially with some cottage cheese. They are also very filling for me and a little really goes a long way. Not to mention the cost/portion ratio as compared to berries. Thanks for you help!

Also be sure to monitor yourself for signs of blood sugar instability....you can monitor it by taking the test in Chapter 12.

Re: Honeydew and Cantalope? Really!!??
I love cantalope but I'm nervous about these, berries fit nicely in a cup but mellons you can cut bigger and get a few in the measuring cup or cut small and get a lot more in. Strawberries were hard also. Cauliflower and broccoli also, I love green beans they are all about the same size! I'm always nervous about amounts and probably have less than I think I should have just to be sure.Tentcamp

For odd-sizedf fruits and vegetables, I weigh them on a food scale and look up the corresponding grams values in the USDA website.
I ran into a group of students from the Culinary Institute of America last month. I asked them specific questions about weighing versus measuring in cup measures---they weigh solid or semi-solid foods because it's more accurate than measuring them in cups. Liquid foods, like cream, water, they measure in the measuring cups.~Megs~

yopu could always use the water dispacement method to be accurate too with your bulky foods. use a larger measuring cup add 2-3 cups of water and then add your food. when the total amount gets up one more cup then the water you have in there you have a cup of the food.by the book atkinseer

Good suggestion - I tried measuring what spilled out when I put the food into a full jug but found it too messy to continue - I never thought of your way. ThanksWondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

Or you could spend $20 on a food scale if you're lazy like me.
