  • I Should've Come Here Earlier!

I wish I would've known how easy OWL is earlier. I was too afraid to move from extended induction, for fear of eating too much, and not losing anymore weight. Today is the end of my second week, and I've lost 5 1/2 lbs! I just love those extra vegies and dairy products, and can hardly wait to add in fruit. I'm still very much in control!

Good for you! OWL is the reason why I can't say Atkins doesn't give you much food variety.

Excellent, Cruiser! I started OWL just a couple of days before and have had similar results and I LOVE OWL! Its the best isn't it? I almost feel like I am part of a cult and I need to recruit everybody to come to OWL because I just love it so much. Ok, this is getting scarey. I'm a little too excited about this.

Just curious as to what foods you have added in? How long do you plan on staying on each rung?

Hi I could use some of your cult like recruitment and motivation please! I'm still scared to move! here I'll quote a post I made earlier so you dont have to go dig for it:

I also think I really really need to move on...induction foods are starting to bore me so much that sometimes I just dread eating...not so much the eating, but the cooking and all the work...just to eat something that is no longer appealing to me at all. The main reason I am afraid to move on is that I am not as organized as most of you all are, and I just kind of keep count of stuff in my head...and I know for OWL fitday is pretty much a must...and personally I hate the program...it takes me usually 30+ minutes to enter all my foods in for the day and I just find it to be a total pain in the arse. It just makes me feel really obsessive compulsive and I really don't like to do it every day. I guess I need to keep a pen and paper by the fridge to keep track throughout the day or something. This past weekend I haven't CHEATED, but I have had some non induction foods due to being extremely bored/having run out of all foods i can eat except for spinach...i think i pretty much lived on cheese and beans and low carb ice cream this weekend...and knocked myself out of ketosis..so I am going to do 2 weeks of hardcore induction and then move on to OWL.

Thx. Shashee, I love the rewards...those lost lbs!

Not2Late, yes, the food variety is great

Betty, yes we gotta thank Dr A for his insightfullness

Nikki e, the vegie rung, I just added more of the same vegies that I have been eating in ex-induction. I experimented alot there! I only stayed in that rung for 1 week, as I wasn't adding anything new! Dairy rung, I basically added only1 new item, ice cream, everything else is still the same, so a bit more of that. I will stay on this rung for another week, and then do 2 weeks per rung! I think my biggest challenge will be the fruit rung, as I love and miss fruits. What about you, how many weeks/rung? Any challenges?
