  • Anyone stall at rung 1?

Just wondering if anyone has experienced stalls in weight loss just by adding in more veggies? Have you ever found a veggie that does stall your weight loss? I am seriously considering moving into OWL only to add some more veggies in my menu. This is new for me since I was not a veggie person before, but I actually seem to crave them at times now! I am thinking of just moving into OWL but stayin for a long time at the veggie rung since I have 120 pounds still to lose.

What do you all think? Do I need to stay in ext. induction because of the amount I need to lose or can I stay at rung 1 while I lose the majority of my weight? Will being at rung 1 slow my weight loss down or is that kind of based more on each individual?

    Thanks for the advice.

I will stay on my diet. I will get healthy and lose weight. There is nothing I could eat or drink that tastes as good as how I feel at this moment on this WOE ~ nothing!

I'm a firm believer that 5 more grams in veggies (a total of 20 measley little calories) will *not* stall you, assuming that you keep everything else in check.

Eat up! I have yet to meet anyone that got fat eating another serving of veggies.

If you do find you slow down - and you might at first while your body adjusts - be patient and give yourself a little bit of time. Keep track of everything and you'll do just fine!

I agree with Brook. 5 net grams of more Induction veggies will not stall you UNLESS you are one of those few people who have a high degree of metabolic resistance to weight loss.

Frankly, the only folks who benefit from extending their Inductions past the 14 days are the folks who have a high degree of metabolic resistance to weight loss. But even they can move into OWL by going up the OWL rungs, but keeping within their CCLL.

I had a similar mindset that you did...that I had a lot of weight to lose, so I better stay on extended induction for a long time. I finally decided to make the move and I ended up losing faster on OWL than I did on extended induction. Before OWL, I was losing maybe 1-2 pounds a month. I have been on OWL for a month now and have lost 9 pounds in that month.

Oh, Nikki, what wonderful stats. Congrats on your journey so far. Did you stay at rung one for a long time or what? How did you pace it with a lot to lose?
