  • Off Topic question - Stretch Marks

I am starting to get really ugly stretch marks. I have of course always had them but now that I am losing they are becoming more and looking worse. Does anyone use a product that really helps minimize stretch marks

    Thanks,
    Kelly

I am sure this has been discussed a few times in the 'Atkins for women' and 'Century Club' forums, Kelly. I seem to remember some posters had found a few things that helped.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

You need to join the Atkins for Women sight if you want to. Just PM Bren and she will help you.
I did find this from last April that might help.
I can also tell you quiet truthfully that when your age 60, they all disappear. LOL I know that really helps you. LOL

Stretch marks are scars. So people smear alot of products on them to reduce the appearance: vitamin E, Mederma, Retin-A, and some other products.

I use Mary Kay's Timewise Visibly Fit Body Lotion. It works great! I know a consultant who had a baby and decided to use the stuff on only half her belly to see if there is really a difference and was amazed how much better that one side looked after using it everyday for 3 weeks.

Re: Off Topic question - Stretch Marks

I know I have lots of stretch-marks but will deal with them once I am healthier and have had a chance to see what a slimmer fitter me looks like. Cosmetic areas don't interest me much - I tend to keep covered up anyway so although I know the marks are there I won't inflict them on anyone else.

Re: Off Topic question - Stretch Marks

Hi. I had really bad stretchmarks on my stomach after pregnancy. Did 12 Beatytek sessions - some sort of computer machine thingy that removes scarring etc. I'm in South Africa and there are only 2 of these in the whole of SA, but I'm sure if you google it you'll find one close to you. It really worked, bit expensive, but they are GONE man GONE!!! It also helps to shrink excess skin, so I'll definately have to go again after the weight is gone..

Wow, thanks for the suggestions. And believe me Deborah, I am NOT going to be wearing a bikini or belly shirt anytime in the near future, but I am still a little vain, believe it or not! Plus, I want to look as good as possible for the hubby when this is over!
