  • Water question

I like to drink the carbonated flavored water from Acme or Shop Rite. They have no sodium, no calories, no carbs etc.. I know that some contain asparteme. I have not shown to be stalled by the use of aspartame. Other than that, is there any reason this flavored water would be off limits? I drink 2 bottles a day!

    Thanks for the info,
    kelly

Each serving of that drink will count towards your 3 daily sweetener limits. Yes, the 3 sweetener limits is still in effect during OWL. Long ago, Elleth and I read the book backwards and forwards to see if there was a change in the limit---there is none. Elleth called the Atkins Center and asked them and they said, the limit is 3.

Also, the only thing that counts towards your water requirement is water: tap, bottled, filtered or spring. Again, it's just like the Induction rules for water.

Oh, no. I have been drinking this stuff like, well, like water!! I use all my sweetener on other stuff I thought. Darn, it was so easy to get the water in with that!

      Thanks!

Anything sweetened really gives me cravings. You want to be really careful with that kind of stuff. It may seem "safe" but can really set off triggers and cravings.

Good luck and try to just drink regular water today.
