  • I figured out where I have gone wrong!

    Well, I figured out where I have gotten off track. Sweeteners. I have been drinking 2 cups of coffee a day where I add Sugar Free syrup to sweeten it. I have been drinking a lot of bottled carbonated flavored water that I get at the grocery store (64 oz a day) ~ loads of aspartame in there! Plus, I have a treat at night of cream cheese, splenda and a little cocoa powder. You got it ~ MORE sweetener So I have decided to change things up a little.

    I am committing to the following in my own "personal challenge" for at least 1 month:

    #1 - NO MORE COFFEE
    #2 - PLAIN WATER ONLY
    #3 - 100 oz OF WATER DAILY - minimum!
    #4 - EXERCISE ~ Go to Curves at LEAST 3 X's per week.
    #5 - REDO CLEAN INDUCTION ~ I feel that I am out of ketosis and need to recharge my system.
    #6 - JOURNAL ~ I will journal in the journal section here.

          I saw a research study recently that seemed to indicate that the more sweet-tasting stuff you eat, the more total calories you tend to consume. This trend happened even for those eating artificial sweeteners. The scientists speculated that the sweet taste signals your brain to EAT MORE -- yet another holdover from our hunter-gatherer ancestors, who had to deal with uncertain food supplies. Anyway, what you noticed in your own diet may have something to do with this tendency...
